Las Vegas, NV

Las Vegas hotels with no resort fee, and what the rest charge in 2026.

We checked 40 Las Vegas hotels against their own websites: 28 state a mandatory resort or destination fee, 1 states it charges none, and 11 could not be confirmed either way. The median stated fee is $49.98 a night, before any tax a hotel adds on top. The lowest is $10.00, at The Cliffs at Peace Canyon; the highest is $55.00, at 10 hotels. Checked through Sep 17, 2026.

“With tax” is our arithmetic: the hotel's stated fee plus 13.38% tax on it, worked out per night, and shown only where the hotel says tax is charged on top. The figure above it is the hotel's own.

Not confirmed on the hotel's site

The hotel's site could not be read, or it does not state the fee. That is not the same as charging nothing: silence is not a refusal, and a list that turned “could not find it” into $0 would be inventing the exact number this page exists to expose. These hotels are listed, not priced.

How the fee reaches your bill

A resort fee is a mandatory charge per night that the hotel sets and collects itself, usually at check-in. It is not a government tax, and it is charged whether or not you use anything it covers. Some hotels call it a destination, facility or amenity fee; the table uses the hotel's own word.

Because the hotel takes it at the desk, it can sit outside the total a booking site quotes. We put it in the total, and we say which part we charge and which part the hotel collects, because only one of those is ours to take.

Where a hotel says tax is charged on the fee, the row says so. SAHARA Las Vegas states the tax on its resort fee as 13.38% on its own page. At that rate, where a hotel adds tax, a $49.98 fee (the median here) comes to $56.67 a night at the desk; a hotel whose page gives a different rate charges that one.

The same room can be sold with the fee itemised on one rate plan and left off another. Measured Sep 16, 2026 on 40 Las Vegas hotels priced for a 3-night stay through the wholesale rate feed we buy from: 36 carried a fee on at least one rate plan, and at 32 of those another plan for the same room omitted it. The median omitted fee was $119.99 per stay. Before we corrected for it, 4 of 40 results showed the fee; after, 33. The hotel charges it whichever plan sold the room.

Since May 12, 2025, the FTC's rule on unfair fees (16 CFR Part 464) has required the total price a seller shows to include mandatory fees. Government taxes may still be left out of it, and the rule governs what a seller displays, not what a hotel may charge.

Questions

Which Las Vegas hotels have no resort fee?
Hampton Inn Tropicana states on its own site that no resort or destination fee is charged. Checked through Sep 17, 2026.
How much is the typical Las Vegas resort fee?
Of the 40 Las Vegas hotels we checked, 28 state a fee. The median stated fee is $49.98 a night, before any tax a hotel adds on top. The lowest is $10.00, at The Cliffs at Peace Canyon; the highest is $55.00, at 10 hotels. Checked through Sep 17, 2026.
Is tax charged on the resort fee?
25 of the 28 hotels that state a fee say tax is charged on top of it, 1 says no tax is added on top of the figure it states, and 2 do not say. SAHARA Las Vegas states the tax on its resort fee as 13.38% on its own page. At that rate, where a hotel adds tax, a $49.98 fee (the median here) comes to $56.67 a night at the desk; a hotel whose page gives a different rate charges that one. Each row in the table marks what its hotel said.
What is a resort fee?
A mandatory nightly charge a hotel sets and collects itself, usually at check-in, on top of the room rate and separate from government tax. Hotels also call it a destination, facility or amenity fee. It is charged whether or not you use anything it covers.

“Hotels' own sites” marks a city whose fees we read hotel by hotel. A percentage is the typical gap between the advertised rate and the real total; “est.” marks one estimated from market data rather than measured from captured rates.
