A hotel booking site for the United States that ranks hotels by the total you will actually pay. The rate a hotel advertises is not that number: resort fees, cleaning charges and taxes are added afterwards, and a list sorted by the advertised rate puts the hotel that moved the most money out of its rate first. We add every fee up before we rank anything, name each line, and say which part we charge your card and which part the hotel collects at the desk, because only one of those is ours to take.

We are a travel agency: your booking contract is with us, and we contract with the hotel or its distributor. Our fee is a percentage of the room with a fixed cap, stated at checkout before you pay. When a rate plan omits a fee that the hotel’s other rate plans itemise, we count it and mark it as inferred rather than let the omission win. Where we cannot confirm a fee we say so; we never print a zero over a hotel whose fee we could not find.
