What these figures are, and are not

Each is the fee a hotel’s own website states, per night, before any tax it adds on top. A condition the hotel attaches, such as a waiver on a long stay, is printed beside the fee and never applied, and a second charge a hotel names beside it is listed and never added in, so neither can move a hotel up this list.

It is a ranking of what hotels wrote. A hotel whose page we could not read, or whose page says nothing, is in no figure here; it has not told us its fee, and it may be higher than anything listed.

Questions people ask

Which hotel has the highest resort fee?
Of the hotels whose own website states a fee, Fairmont Grand Del Mar in San Diego states the highest: $70.00 a night, before any tax added on top, read on September 18, 2026. A hotel we could not read may charge more, which is why this page ranks what hotels state.
Does Las Vegas have the highest resort fees?
Not by what hotels state. Its highest is $55.00 a night, stated by 10 hotels there, and 22 hotels in 13 other cities state more, up to $70.00. How many of its hotels charge one is on the city page.
What is the lowest resort fee a hotel charges?
Of the fees hotels state above zero, the lowest is $2.00 a night, at Hotel Bennett and The Dewberry in Charleston. 81 hotels state that they charge none, and those are listed in our guide to hotels without resort fees.
Where are resort fees highest?
By the single highest fee a hotel states, San Diego, at $70.00 a night. By the typical fee, the median of what a city’s hotels state, the ranking is in the Resort Fee Report, which compares only cities with enough stated fees to carry a median.

The typical fee in each city is in the Resort Fee Report; the hotels that say they charge none are in hotels without resort fees, and each hotel company’s fees are in resort fees by hotel company.
