Terms of service
Last updated 20 September 2026
These terms govern your use of NJSTravel and any booking you make through us. They are written to be read, not to be survived.
What we are
We are a travel agency. When you book a hotel here, your contract for the stay is with TravelSyncro LLC (trading as NJSTravel, a trade name registered with the New Hampshire Secretary of State on 16 September 2026), and we in turn contract with the hotel or its distributor. We are not the hotel, and we do not own, operate or control it.
We do not currently sell flights. What follows governs flight bookings made while we did.
When you book a flight, we act as a ticket agent: we sell you a ticket on the airline's behalf, and carriage is provided by the airline under its own contract of carriage. We are not the airline either, and we do not own, operate or control it.
This matters when something goes wrong on the ground. A hotel that overbooks or an airline that delays a flight has not breached these terms — but we will help you resolve it, and where the booking itself was misdescribed by us, that is ours to fix.
Prices, and what they include
The total we show you is built from what the supplier itemised: the room rate, taxes, our service fee, and any fee the property collects at the desk that the supplier told us about, because the entire reason this site exists is that those figures are usually left out until checkout. What the property collects is shown on its own line and is not charged to your card by us.
We promise there is nothing further to pay on arrival only when two things are true: the supplier itemised the rate and listed nothing for the property to collect, and the property's other rates, checked at the moment we hold your price, report no fee this rate leaves out. Channels that sell the same room disagree about resort fees, and a rate that omits one has not escaped it, so where other rates at the property report a fee this rate does not, we show it, marked as inferred, in what the desk will collect. The same applies where the hotel's own website states a resort or similar fee and the rate counts less than half of it: we add the difference to the total, marked as inferred and named as coming from the hotel's site. We never charge any inferred fee; the property collects it. Where we could not check, or the supplier itemised nothing, the checkout says so and makes no promise. Where a supplier has given a total without itemising it, or has not disclosed the price of something you will need — a bag fee, a resort fee — we say so on the result and treat the total as a floor, never as a final price.
Our service fee is a line of its own — “NJSTravel service” — on the checkout statement before you pay, and it is included in the amount charged to your card. Your receipt records the fee, in dollars, and the moment it was charged. On any cancellation you make — before the rate's cancellation deadline or after it, on a refundable rate or a non-refundable one — you get back what the supplier releases and our fee comes back on top of it. We keep nothing when you cancel.
The fee is 20% of what the supplier charges us for the room, and never more than $300.00. There is no minimum. We charge for the work of booking a room, not for the price of the room: 20% of a $2,000 suite, uncapped, would be $400.00 for exactly the work a $200 room costs, so the fee stops rising.
The payment form names the fee in dollars on the statement above the pay control, beside the sentence saying what comes back if you cancel. That sentence is repeated on your booking page, above the cancellation control, and in the confirmation and cancellation emails. If a booking fails, or we cannot deliver the room, nothing is kept and everything you paid comes back.
Prices move. The figure in search results is what was true when the search ran; the figure you are charged is confirmed with the supplier at the moment you check out. If it has changed in between, we show you the difference in dollars and ask you to accept it before your card is authorised. We never charge a number you have not seen.
Payment
Your card is authorised when you press pay and charged only once the supplier confirms: the room, or the issued ticket. If the supplier declines, the authorisation is released and you are not charged. Where an airline reserves seats but issues tickets later, we charge when the tickets are issued and tell you so. Card details are collected by Stripe and never reach our servers.
For hotel bookings the payment is taken by Nuitée Travel Limited (LiteAPI), the supplier of the room, who are the merchant of record for it. Your booking contract for our service is still with TravelSyncro LLC, and we remain your point of contact — but the charge on your statement is theirs, and it shows as NUITEE* NJSTRAVEL. Refunds for hotel bookings are issued by Nuitée Travel Limited to the card you paid with, under the rate's own cancellation terms.
If we lose contact with a supplier mid-booking, we do not guess. We check with them directly, tell you exactly what is and is not known, and do not charge you until a booking is confirmed to exist.
Flights
We do not currently sell flights. What follows governs flight bookings made while we did.
Every fare carries the airline's own rules on changes, refunds, baggage and seats. We show them before you pay and repeat them on your booking page. Where the airline has not stated a term, we say so rather than assume it is favourable.
Names on a ticket must match the travel document presented at the gate. Airlines charge to correct a name, and some refuse to. Dates of birth and the gender marker on your ID are required by the airline for the same reason.
A held seat is not a ticket. Your booking page and confirmation say which you have, and we do not describe seats as ticketed until the airline has issued the ticket.
If the airline cancels or significantly changes your flight, you are entitled to a full refund from us within seven business days of the airline's notice if you choose not to travel. Schedule changes are communicated by the airline; keep the contact details on your booking current.
Booking a flight and a hotel together
We do not currently sell flights. What follows governs flight bookings made while we did.
We do not sell packages. A flight and a hotel bought for the same trip are two separate bookings, charged separately, each under its own terms and its own cancellation window. Where you choose both, we take you through them in order — the room first, so its price is settled before the flight is attempted — but neither is conditional on the other, and cancelling one does not cancel the other.
Where we sell
We sell to residents of the United States, in US dollars. We cannot currently accept bookings from residents of California, Florida, Washington, Hawaii and Iowa, where a seller-of-travel registration we do not yet hold is required. You tell us the state on your billing address at checkout, and we rely on it as the basis of the sale.
Changes and cancellations
Each rate and fare carries its own cancellation terms, shown before you book and repeated on your confirmation. Non-refundable rates are genuinely non-refundable — that is why they cost less — but our service fee comes back on any cancellation you make, whatever the rate. See our cancellation policy for how to cancel, what comes back and how long it takes.
Your responsibilities
Give us accurate names and dates of birth. Check your dates and airports before confirming. Keep the email address on your booking working; it is where the supplier and we reach you. Make sure you can legally travel — passports, visas, and entry requirements are yours to arrange. You must be at least 18 to book.
Disputes with your card issuer
If a charge looks wrong, contact us before disputing it with your bank. A refund we owe is faster from us, and we provide every receipt and reference you need. A dispute filed to reverse a booking you used, or one whose cancellation terms you accepted, is one we contest with the record.
When things go wrong
If we make a mistake — the wrong room, the wrong dates, a price we misdescribed — tell us and we will fix it or refund you. Where a booking cannot be honoured through our error, we will rebook you at equivalent standard or refund you in full, at your choice.
We are not liable for events outside our reasonable control: weather, strikes, closures, or a supplier failing. Our liability for any booking is limited to the amount you paid us for it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under law that cannot be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire and of the United States. Where consumer protection law in your state gives you rights these terms do not, those rights apply.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top says when. A booking is governed by the terms in force when it was made, and the terms shown at checkout are the ones you accepted.
