Read on the hotels’ own pages through October 5, 2026, in 7 cities. A hotel counts as Accor’s when its name carries one of Accor’s brand names, Fairmont’s and Sofitel’s among them, or its fee was read on fairmont.com or accor.com. Another 9 Accor hotels in our data could not be confirmed either way; a page we could not read says nothing, so they are in no figure here.

What Accor hotels charge, and what they call it

There is no one Accor fee: each hotel’s page names and prices its own. The names on the 7 pages that state one are “Urban Experience Fee” (4), “Daily Urban Experience Fee (amenity fee)” (1), “Resort experience fee” (1) and “Resort Service Charge” (1).

By the word in the hotel’s own name for it: with “urban” in the name, 5 hotels, from $25.00 to $45.00 a night (median $38.69); with “resort” in the name, 2 hotels, from $55.00 to $70.00 a night, all before any tax added on top.

At Fairmont’s 6 hotels: from $35.00 to $70.00 a night (median $45.00), before any tax added on top; 4 of the 6 call it the “Urban Experience Fee”.

Fairmont Century Plaza, near the middle of the range, puts it this way on its own page: “We have also bundled together our most popular amenities and activities under one urban experience fee of $45 per room, per day plus tax.”

For a 3-night stay that is from $75.00 to $210.00, $135.00 at the median, before any tax added on top.

What Accor hotels say the fee includes

Counted once per hotel, out of the 6 of 7 Accor hotels that say what their fee pays for. A hotel that lists nothing has not said its fee pays for nothing, and an item on the list is not a reason to pay it: the fee is the same whether or not you use any of it.

Is tax added to the urban fee?

Of the 7 Accor hotels stating a fee, 6 say tax is added on top and 1 says nothing is added on top. Nothing added on top can mean the figure already includes the tax. Where tax is added, it is the local tax on hotel rooms, charged on the fee as it is on the room.
