How to read it
A city has a median only where at least 5 of its hotels state a fee on their own site. Fewer than that is too few to compare, so those cities are drawn hollow and listed with their range.
A hotel whose site said nothing, or would not load for us, counts in no figure. Silence is not the same as no fee.
The fees are the hotels’ own, before tax, read off each hotel’s website with the date. The dots are towns from GeoNames (CC BY 4.0), which is how the map draws the country without a map service.
