How we count

  • A reading is the hotel’s own website stating a mandatory nightly fee, or stating it charges none, with the page and the date.
  • A change is the SAME page stating something different on a later date. That is all it claims: what the page said, and when.
  • A reading from another page of the hotel’s site is not counted as a change. It is often our earlier reading corrected, for example a figure first read with the tax already inside it.
  • Hotels we could not confirm are in no figure here, and a site that refused our request keeps its earlier reading and date.
