Out of 431 fees stated per night by hotels in 36 US cities. A phrase such as “provides every guest with” describes who can use what the fee covers, not what it is charged per, so it is not counted as per person.
What it means for your bill
Most stated fees that name a unit name the room. Where a hotel says per person, the fee grows with the number of guests; check that hotel’s own wording.
With a per-room fee, two rooms means two fees. A fee is also charged per night, so a five-night stay pays it five times: every figure on our pages is one the hotel states per night, and a fee a hotel states per stay is listed without a figure rather than divided up by us.
