Cómo llega la tarifa a tu cuenta

Una tarifa de resort es un cargo obligatorio por noche que el propio hotel fija y cobra, normalmente al hacer el check-in. No es un impuesto del gobierno, y se cobra uses o no lo que cubre. Algunos hoteles la llaman tarifa de destino (destination fee), de instalaciones (facility fee) o de servicios (amenity fee); la tabla usa la palabra del propio hotel.

Como el hotel la cobra en recepción, puede quedar fuera del total que cotiza un sitio de reservas. Nosotros la ponemos en el total y decimos qué parte se paga ahora y qué parte cobra el hotel en recepción.

Donde un hotel dice que se cobran impuestos sobre la tarifa, la fila lo indica; donde no dice nada, la fila no dice nada.

Desde el 12 may 2025, la regla de la FTC sobre cargos injustos (16 CFR Part 464) exige que el precio total que muestra un vendedor incluya las tarifas obligatorias. Los impuestos del gobierno pueden quedar fuera, y la regla rige lo que muestra un vendedor, no lo que un hotel puede cobrar.
